We provide thorough, consistent, comprehensive veterinary care and health management planning services to our discerning and committed clientele.
Starwood Equine is looking for the right fit to support our current practice culture. We emphasize collaboration within the practice and with owners, riders, trainers, and equine specialists to optimize our patients’ performance prevent their injuries, and maintain their overall wellness. Join a team that is reshaping the business model of equine practice:
Our patient base is predominantly performance horse with a healthy balance of pleasure horse and retired equines. An affluent and well-educated client demographic allows us to practice high-quality medicine while having the option of close collaboration with several haul-in facilities within two hours of our two locations in beautiful Woodside and the sunny East Bay hills.
To help provide the level of care that our clients have come to expect, all of our high-end work vehicles are fully equipped with top-of-the-line diagnostic and therapeutic equipment (wireless digital radiography, digital gastroscopy, ultrasound, regenerative medicine, and laser therapy to name a few). We boast an industry-leading electronic record system that minimizes paperwork and allows us ready access through the cloud, and affords convenience for our clients. But our real advantage is our personnel. Associates with over 60 years of experience are supported by our skilled and seasoned technicians and office staff (2:1 ratio) and a continual roster of devoted externs.
We are seeking a qualified DVM with 2+ years of experience who is comfortable with all aspects of general practice, including emergency and dentistry. NEW GRADUATES ARE ALSO WELCOME (ASK US ABOUT OUR MENTORSHIP PROGRAM!). Additional certification in rehabilitation, acupuncture, and/or chiropractic is a plus. The ideal candidate enjoys working to improve, prides themselves on excellence, but doesn’t take themselves too seriously.
Let’s tailor a work schedule that optimizes your skill set while promoting ample time to enjoy the Bay Area! Along with a competitive base salary (75-100K depending on experience) and 401K, there is potential for performance-based compensation. Generous benefits also include CE, Uniform, PLIT, Licensing, Dental/Health/Vision Insurance, and new practice vehicles.
The associate veterinarian we need will be a self-starter with a personality that fits the culture of Starwood Equine and the clients we serve. We are not in a rush and want to make sure that the match works for us both. Alternative work schedules (1,2,3, and 4 day work weeks) are currently enjoyed by our associates and we are open to discussing a unique schedule that benefits everyone.
