EDUCATIONAL SERVICES
Here at Starwood Equine, we seek to serve our clients as much as our patients. We are firm believers in the importance of continuing education, both of ourselves and our clients. Through training, we prepare clients for full involvement in the decision-making process and care of their horse. Clinics
To mitigate costs and simplify scheduling for our clients, we offer group rates for routine care. Contact our office if you are interested in setting up a clinic for your barn or boarding location.
Chiropractic CLinics
Animal chiropractic focuses on the health and well-being of the neuromuscular and skeletal system. The goal is to restore normal function to the skeletal system and therefore restore normal function to all of the tissues surrounding the vertebrae. Horses of all types can benefit from chiropractic care.
Chiropractic Clinics must have at least 5 participants per location. Contact the Starwood Equine office for more information or to schedule.
DENTAL CLINICS
Routine dental floating is a critical element in maintaining a healthy horse. Sharp point and hooks can create painful areas which will cause a horse to release the bit or begin to head toss. Removal of sharp points ensures the ability to chew correctly and alleviates oral ulceration. Maximize your savings by joining our dental clinics for your dentistry needs.
Dental Clinics must have at least 3 participants per location. Contact the Starwood Equine office for more information or to schedule.
FARRIER CONSULT CLINIC
Starwood Equine believes that collaborative partnerships between equine veterinarians and farriers are a vital component to healthier hooves and horses. In a consultation, a Starwood Equine veterinarian will work closely with your farrier to establish a customized shoeing plan for your equine athlete.
Farrier Consult Clinics must have at least 2 participants per location. Contact the Starwood Equine office for more information or to schedule.
GASTROSCOPY CLINICS
Show season--with the hauling and workload--can be stressful for everyone. Unfortunately, this stress can cause ulceration of your horse's gastrointestinal tract. Many horses that have gastric ulcers are asymptomatic, but a study has shown that 2 out of 3 active horses are affected. Some of the symptoms of gastric ulcers include decreased appetite, reluctance to perform, weight loss, dull coat, or general colic symptoms.
Gastroscopy Clinics must have at least 3 participants per location. Contact the Starwood Equine office for more information or to schedule.
